This was on my Konami parts rack since 2010. Never even knew about it.

yup def a red tent. what else would leg extension mean? Nintendo didn't make a vs pinball! :)

so yeah, i'm assuming its to extend it so people can play it standing up?

I had those on my Red Tent when I first got them. Took them off and sold them off here a few years ago. I think a few people here have them and use them.

How sturdy is it at full extension?

I don't think I ever had it at full extension and took them off almost immediately. IIRC, it uses the same "feet" but then this part goes in between the "feet" and the red tent. It's made out of pretty heavy material. The Leg extension manual should be around, definitely on arcarc. I imagine it is plenty sturdy.

That's cool! One of my red tents had it on when I got them. It was actually pretty sturdy, it was set at full height. I think cause they are just so heavy and the monitors are directly over the legs, they would be as hard to knock over as any other reg. cabinet. It's off now but I still have it.

Anyone have a photo of their Red Tent extended?

Interesting.
I must say in the 35 years I've been in the Coin-Op biz, I've never seen these in the wild.

Here is another angle of them from a previous thread. IIRC, the lowest height setting is around what you may normally see a red tent height at. So the easiest way I can tell that they are on is with the black metal piece going from leg to leg.
