Cleaning Play-field?

Well shit. I keep seeing polarized reviews but Ive used it for a long time without any ill effects. Ill read more.

It really depends on what you have.

General cleanup (not deep grime): just about any good cleaner will do.

Nasty cleanup (deep grime - I ran into this on a Tales from the Crypt - it was so dirty you couldn't read the features on the playfield, and it was nasty sticky crap that was black - then you get out:
Novus 3 (breaks down the grime)
Novus 2 (cleans more down to the paint)
Novus 1 (polishes / waxes)

I've used Wildcat 125 and Mill Wax. I find both work well when used following the directions.

I couldn't get either to dent the grim on the TFTC. I eventually used Magic Erasers with alcohol since I left my Novus in Morris IL while I was overhauling pinballs and arcade games in Omaha, Nebraska. The 7 hour commute to pick up my supplies wasn't worth it.

So post a picture of the playfield so we know if we can use a lighter touch, or have to bring in "the heavy guns."
