Ok guys just one question. How do you clean the plastic ramps on your pins? I want to get them looking super shiny without being in danger of damaging the plastic decals on them. Thanks in advance!

I am sure others will have a better answer, but I was using some turtle wax before and it worked great. But now I am just using the novus 1 and it works much better.

I use Novus 2 if they're really dirty, followed by Novus 1 ...or just Novus 1 for occasional cleaning. However, older games might have pretty distinct "paths" from years of use ...some people will flame polish their ramps to give them that back-to-new shine. I'm not brave enough to do that yet! ...but the expert restoration guys stand by it.

On the side without the decals I use Simple Green to cut the dirt down pretty quickly. After that Novus 2 to polish them up a bit followed by Novus 1 to clean up any residue. I generally don't wax my ramps, but I've seen it done and it's left a nice shine on them.

Check out the Whitewater and WCS'94 shop job pics in the link in my sig. Dishwasher WITHOUT heated dry, then flame polishing. Some Novus 2 and Novus 1 if necessary. Depends on how worn the ramps are.

I think he is cleaning up well! Will add a nice little addition to my tiny (VERY TINY at 2 games) collection! Hopefully I can remember how he goes back together!

Yeah the game seems like it should be pretty easy to get back together. Its not the most complicated one I have ever seen ;)

Putting it back together isn't too hard. Just remember, you (obviously) have to start with the lowest playfield pieces first. Also, I don't know how you organized your parts when disassembling, but if they're in a pile (like mine usually are), it's probably easiest to start with lower playfield things like the slings and such so that as you move up things just kind of fall into place.

To clean, I use either Simple Green or Bleech-Wite and a soft brush. Then clean and polish w/ Novus 2, then 1. On some ramps that have too much of a habit-trail, I've used the flame-polish method and they have come out spectacular.

Invest in a Bernzomatic TS4000 Trigger Start Torch and you'll be amazed at the results. Just be careful not to torch it too long or you will melt the ramp :)

I could use a torch job on mine as well, I used novus 2 on the ramp then I used novus 1 to a nice shine but you still see the ball grove, it's still clean though and shiny.

DANG USPS! I ordered some parts and a rubber ring kit from SLC (about 80 miles south of me) on Tuesday. It usually gets here next day but there was vet. day. (No prob) But it went form SLC to TOLEDO, OH! Looks like Im not getting this back together tonight.
