...for the female end you can use some 400+ grit sand paper - fold it over several time to make it 'thick stick'. Insert the end into the connector at each pin location, an couple times per pin is good enough - don't make it too thick, thickness of the PCB max.
Time consuming, but easier to do than replacing the pins.
Also, follow the above suggestion to 'bend the contacts' as well to make a firmer connection.
