I'm cleaning my Ms. Pac-man up today, and it lived a fair amount of it's life in a bar, so there is a lot of stuck on residue on it. The CPO is in very good shape, but there is a lot of ground in grime on it. I've tried Windex and Fantastik to clean it so far, and it does get cleaner, but there is still a lot of ground in grime on it using either of these.

What would work to clean it up better, and not fade the colors of the CPO out?

It's been suggested before, but nothing works better than Magic Erasers! They are cheap, effective, easy to use, and don't remove the ink. They are especially good at removing ground-in dirt and grime. (However, be careful using them on side art.)

Here is my Super Zaxxon control panel, before and after the Magic Eraser treatment.

Shit that really IS magic! It put the black back on there even! :D

Be careful when using them on painted side-art, Atari vinyl is wonderful after being erased!

+1 again. Magic eraser and simple green for me.
I've used Simple Green, but find Grease Lightening works better to really get the "gook" off parts, artwork, etc. I used a tooth brush, steal wool, etc. with it.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to pick up a magic eraser in a bit and try it out. Unfortunely the sideart is pretty faded out already, the red is gone on both sides and the marquee, but the paint is still good on the front for some reason.

I'll post some video later once it's done.

Here is a video I posted earlier of Frogger for my friends to see it, and you can see the crappy state of the sideart of Ms. Pac-man in it(and my beat to shit Frogger ): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4ILU_MIdXk

I couldn't resist getting the CPO cleaning out of the way and just went up to the store. I have to say, the magic eraser impressed the hell out of me! Here are vid links, since I wasn't smart enough to just take some pictures before(and I was making a video of it anyways for friends to see it).
