I have a Gen 5 Clean Sweep claw machine that needs a new board. However, I can't find one. I've searched ebay, Craigslist, Googled it and came up empty.

I did see a fair amount of Gen 6 boards and am wondering what it would take to use that board. What other items would be needed? Perhaps a transformer, wiring harness, claw etc.

Has anyone done this or have knowledge of how to do it?

If that can'y be done, has anyone used a complete claw kit? They run between $250 and $300. Any and all advice welcomed. Thanks.

What did you ever find out about this

I thought that I saw some of the older boards on eBay this week. Hopefully I'm identifying the 5th gen board correctly. It looks like Bruce1arcade has one for $120. He lists it as working, but it looks like it is missing a motor control IC, and he states "no returns". Hmmmmm. He is also selling a 6th gen board for about $250.

There is a chance that an older board will work if you match up the wire correctly. You can use a Chinese board, but you have some wiring to do. I don't know how reliable those boards are or how long they last. I did wire one in to a Smart gantry as an experiment. It worked, but I didn't really use it a lot to test its durability.

I have working boards, but I believe that they are older, maybe gen 4. I have gantrys, harnesses, cabinets. I am no longer in business and have too much stuff. I'd really like to sell all of it. I'd like to avoid selling a piece at a time since that takes an awful lot of time. My time would be worth more than the part. I'm not trying to make money, but my time is very limited. If someone buys it all they will get a smoking deal.

I looked a little further into using different generation pcbs. It can be done, but the connectors and harnesses are different.
