Does anyone know where I can get a replacement of the chip riser that goes between the sound module and the actual sound PCB? Its like a socket that goes into a socket....but has bigger pin size.
I really need to figure out what the heck this part is. I tried writing Clay, but I know he dont really support these anymore.
any help would be great.

Bumping this thread, I have the same issue. The 24 pin dual wipe socket I have wont fit the larger pins on the Clay sound board.

What type of 24 pin dual wipe socket do I need?

Did you apply enough force? It is meant to insert onto those pins only once, since if you remove it the socket is "blown-out" too much for use with regular socket pins. I made mine out of a standard 28-pin cheap socket that I cut down to 24-pins and it works fine.
