I've been on the boards for several months now and I see many that own claw games. As many that know me can tell I prefer to have a classic digger / crane machine. My wife has been bothering me for some time to purchase a modern claw machine. So my question to all of you in case I happen to come across one - your opinion of one of the best to own?

Your time and help is appreciated in advance!

Take a look at this. 1932 Mutoscope. Now that`s what I call vintage...

Modern Cranes

For modern cranes, my opinion would be:

1 - Rainbow New Gen (Has a silver Trolley) Easy to repair.
2 - Smart Cranes (6th or 7th Gen preferable, 5th gen are ok). Not bad to repair but parts are somewhat expensive.
3 - ICE cranes easy to repair but parts are very expensive.

I'd stay away from anything made in china (Toy Taxi, Hot stuff, Toy soldier, New Smart Cranes) They absolutely suck and are made like crap.

I'd also stay away from the older Big Choice, Elauts, Hollywood and Greyhounds.

Everyone's opinions are different so take it for what it is worth.

Yes it`s mine. The inserts inside resemble the empire state building are cool. The machine needs to be restored but basically still works.

That is a true classic and worth all the time spent restoring. A true piece of arcade history. Also love the CDI crane machines with the actual tin crane. Just seen one of those sell for $2K+ on the Bay.

Take care and if your on holiday enjoy your last day off...
