Classic games for cheap in Central MO (not mine, but read on)...

I am picking up a Shinobi in a pinball deal which will be for sale once I fix a couple things (or will sell AS-IS). Anyway the seller also mentioned he has a Ms. Pac-Man, a Galaxian and a Frogger. I will have more details and maybe some photos next week sometime, but heres basically what I was told...

Ms. Pac semi-works, Galaxian works, and Frogger does not work. They are apparently complete with minimal to nominal wear.

Anyway, he's looking to get around $200 to $250 each. Which is also what I would be asking for Shinobi if theres any interest.

He also mentioned some parts (things like chips, power supplies, transformers ect) that he needs to clear out, and sounds like I could get them for next to nothing.

I dont know the guy too well, just met him, but he seems like a real stand-up guy so I told him I'd put the word out. Let me know if theres any interest and well go from there.

Ill post more details as I gain info next week sometime.

Do you know if he had anything Nintendo related, haha, I'd love another project. Although Galaxian or Frogger might be tempting.

He didnt mention any Nintendo games. He's mainly into pinballs and I'm buying at least one from him. He's looking to unload whatever vids he has (hence why I'm getting Shinobi with the deal) and he mentioned those three which he has at a friends house. He tells me he plans to bring them home next week sometime and will probably send me pictures. Either way hes about 10 minutes from my job so I can alsways stop by and have a look.

OK, I paid him a visit today. He has sold Ms. Pac-Man.

Galaxian is in pretty good shape. Looks original with a nice CP, nice bezel and its working all the way. Has Super Galaxian roms installed (plays faster than the original). The only thing I noticed was the monitor is a little jittery on cold start. I think it needs a new pot for the Horizontal Hold. It's a WG4600 with burn you cant really see thru the dusty tinted plexi.

Frogger is a little rough. Not bad, I've definitely seen worse. CPO has some wear, cab has some wear and so on. The game is complete and is getting power, but the only sign of life is a little buzz in the speaker, nothing more.

As they sit now, he wants $250 for Galaxian (well worth it IMO), and $150 for Frogger. He may look into fixing Frogger and the price may go up if he gets it working.

In all fairness, A KLOVer has already shown interest in Galaxian so he will get first crack at it. If anyone wants to call next in line just post it here.

He also sent me home with a stack of boards, some chips and an Atari power supply which is missing fuse blocks. I will look more into those probably tomorrow and will post in the help section for ID help.

Shinobi is now in my house. It definitely has a focus drift and needs a flyback (WG7600). It also needs new lumber in the front and could use a fresh CPO and button decals. $100 as it sits now or will fix it up and try for $250. Looks like a dedicated cab with ok side art.

If theres any interest in these games let me know and Ill pass along the appropriate contact info. Ill report back once I know more.

Do you know if he has a truck and does he live in Columbia? I might be interested in the Galaxian but have no way to transport it myself, and I'm not sure if I"m interested in it enough to rent one for the day.

Galaxian found a home. He still has Frogger and hasnt looked into fixing it yet. I still have Shinobi although there is some interest in it.

If he or you ever head up to the KC area, I'd be interested in the Frogger, working or not. I just can't afford to drive out that far. Hell, KCMO is 50 miles east of me, but I can meet in KC pretty much anywhere state line & west of State line. Throw me a PM if it's a possibility.

The guy who bought Galaxian had plans to 60-1 it but decided the game was too nice, so now he wants to pass it along. He's asking the $250 he paid, is in Columbia and says he will deliver. If anyone wants a second chance at Galaxian PM me and Ill pass contact info along.

Bump it up. I know the Frogger is still available, and I'm sure Galaxian is also. I also have more photos of the Frogger...
