Did Classic games that where kits come complete with a hole different Control Panel?

Or did you have too make one out of the game you where changing?

I've noticed this alot with Jamma Games they had too make there own and mess up the classic cp.

Unless they were made to fit a specific cab, I don't know how they could include a CP, as each cab style is different in how they attach, fit, etc.

The only ones that would come with a CP were kits for changing out a specific cabinet. For instance, Atari's system I (Marble Madness, Road Blasters, others I can't remember) you'd get a board, marquee, bezel, and new CP. But for something like Tetris (designed to go into any cab), you'd get a board, bezel, marquee, side decals, buttons, sticks, CPO, and a wiring harness. Drilling the CP, re-wiring the cab, re-painting the cab, etc, etc were all for the OP to do.

That's part of why you see such variation in quality on conversions - some OPs actually took the time to lay the controls out straight, do a nice paint job, others just slapped the decals on crooked, drilled the CP any which way, and hand twisted any wires.

one thing to do is read some of the manuals, and it'll tell you. i have a combatribes running in my sinistar cab right now, and in the manual of it, it tells you what you need, how to drill the holes, connect stuff and what not. it seems like a lot of the non dedicated jamma games have that in their manuals, so it seems like most of them came with all the parts, not counting a monitor, you'd just paint the cab, put on their art, install the parts/wiring harness and hack away on the control panel.

Cinematronics world series the season also came with a universal control panel that bolted onto an existing cp.

There were a few that did but as others have said, most were cabinet specific. Other than Atari's System 1 (glad I am not the only one who considers it a classic) Nintendo released kits for their game cabinets. Nintendo even made conversion kits designed specifically for Pac and Ms Pac cabinets - see the manual . Bally Sente was another one with a kit type game swap. Sure there are a hand full of others too.

That's probably one of the few that came with one and was not designed for a specific cabinet. Only ones I can think of that came with a CP were Vs. Most were made for Nintendo cabinets (obviously) but there were also ones made specifically for Midway cabinet.

Anybody know about the Bally/Sente SAC-1 System games? Did those come with control panels since many ended up in Midway cabinets? I have only seen a few.
