Classic cabinet + JAMMA-tized + Honey I Shunk the Arcade

Idea for bartop JAMMA rig-

I have an idea for a winter woodworking project. I know there are plans and cabinets being sold for a bartop cabinet, but my idea is a bit different.

I am thinking about building a small cabinet, mainly as a test rig/JAMMA cabinet. It would use a 13" monitor and while I've planned on horizontal mount, I suppose I could put the monitor on a mount that would unbolt and rotate. It would be roughly from the mid coin door and up, with a pull out drawer in the base, where the boardset could be swapped.

Instead of a new design, I'd like to take a classic cabinet and scale it down 68%, since it's a 19" to 13". Only change might be a larger control panel.

What would be a good cabinet design to shrink 68% and chop off at the waist? Defender comes to mind. The flat control panel would do well with a JAMMA layout. A baby Nintendo cabinet might do well, especially since you could stack crap on the flat top.

Any suggestions?

Or you could take an old bartop poker game and convert it to jamma. There are some people on the boards here that have donr that and they turned out ok. Its the kind that had like 4 buttons for stand, hold, fold and something else.

Look for some pics of an oak merit cab with arkanoid in it...Its awesome looking and about like a playchoice 10 with a better control panel setup..
