CL: this is deffinately worth $500. Hope no one beats me to it.

You could serve the buffet at CAX on it!

I have a great idea for the next Star Wars chair.

Convert a Pole Position cockpit into a toilet and call it "Poop Position"

I hope he made a bunch of those. That is going to be the "must have" this Christmas season for sure, especially at that price point.

I got the following response to my question about if it has a free-play option:

"Hi im not quite sure what you mean by free play option because it is only the arcade table im selling. but if you wish to plug it into the computer for computer games or mame or whatever emulator you have on i can give you a cd so that you may assign every button to any function you wish.

-Raul"

I'm stumped on how to reply now.

Excellent, but I have a few additional questions that researching this item online did not answer.

First is it compatible with home automation software. For example, if I was playing Asteroids in MAME would I be able to assign a red button on the
player 2 joystick to open the curtains, all while still playing my game.

Second. Can the software automate a sequence of button combinations so I would be able to play Donkey Kong, even if I had to get up to get coffee?

Third. Is there a way to mount cup holders and wire a heated cup holder that will keep my coffee mug warm. Thanks again for your response, I hope to hear from you again, as I'm very interested in this arcade game.

No need to kill a fly with a sledge hammer here. We need to string this CL seller along as long as possible...

Yes, I'm thinking subtlety would be good. I'm liking the cub holder question though. Perhaps I'll just ask that and leave it at that. Or it could be interesting if he got a number of inane questions from various people who all seem interested in the thing.

Ask for the dimensions underneath.

You know, that way you can make sure it fits your lazy boy recliner and space heater....

:)

I'm in, questions sent!

Hello
I am interested in your arcade table, I have a few questions about it....
1 - Are the buttons/sticks water proof? I have kids and I am worried they might spill something on them
2 - Would I be able to hook this up to a real arcade machine? I currently own an Asteroids machine and was wondering if this would be compatible with it?
3 - What is the absolute best price you would accept? I'm not a low baller....but I like to haggle a little :)
Let me know what you think, Thanks!

Ok, I sent him this.

Hi,

I'm really interested in your game. Do you have a picture of you playing it? If not, could you get someone to take a picture of you playing it. That's a pretty awesome button spread, it looks like you could play tons of games with it. I get pretty sweaty when I play Marvel vs Capcom 2, how about you?\

Thanks again

Haha fantastic.
Honestly it's not terrible if someone was just screwing around and had an old table. But people making crap like this and asking for $500??? Just wow. I would say maybe $50 for your console gamer, since the portable joysticks are like $80 anyway. Anyway keep the amazing questions going and post the replies :) lol

Hi. to answer your questions in the same order they would be as follows

1- no they are not water proof i would be very careful with the kids
2- I am not sure it may be possible but you would have to take out the disconnects for each button and plug them into the appropriate port which they belong to.
3- Lastly, In was never good at the whole haggling thing, so maybe you should make an offer first and we will go from there, i mean am willing to negotiate but as far as setting starting haggle prices i was just never good at it.
Thank you for your inquiry and have a nice day

Wow..apparently his friend in Astoria NY made one exactly the same. Is this a nationwide clan or something...

We're in the process of moving long distance, so I'm trying to part with my Mame arcade table that I put together.

It started its life as an Ikea desk and has since been converted in to a table w/ a two player configuration, each player having a joystick and six buttons in a Capcom fighting game style layout. It also has a Trackball which has two buttons for it, along with coin, first, and second player buttons.

The table has a few scratches in it from a few over zealous rounds of Golden Tee and Marble Madness, but all the hardware is in great working condition.

As I'm going to be far away, I'd be willing to help you get this set up now if you purchase from me and do any soldering that might be require after the move.

My price does not include the computer or the games. If you aren't aware of or haven't ever used Mame, I'm surprised you are still reading, but look in to it to get an idea of what you can do with this. I'd be more than happy to provide you a hand on that end of things, but I don't supply games.

Asking $500, but I'm willing to entertain any reasonable offer.
