I picked up a Streetfighter in a Playchoice cab today for $100 off Craigslist. I was lucky to be the first to email him and he was a standup guy and held it for me. The cabinet is in excellent condition with just a few scratches. The monitors looks good but I'll cap them anyway. The game works, but I have no plans to keep it this way. I figured the 2 sanyos are worth $100 easy and my initial thought was to part it, but I may turn it back into a Playchoice. Here's a few pics - Barry

It's a playchoice, the serial tag and back door sheet indicate that. I think I'm going to bring it back to it's playchoice glory. I'm already on the hunt for parts. - Barry

Yes they made a single and dual monitor version. The top monitor is the game select menu and the lower is the game play monitor. - Barry

Was Playchoice 10 a conversion kit for Punch-Out!!? Did conversion kits come with serial tags?

I'm pretty sure this was an official Nintendo release. I have seen many of them for sale on ebay and there is one at the arcade in Mount Vernon. - Barry

I always thought that PlayChoice machines were all kits. Yes, most if not all Nintendo kits came with serial number tags. My DK has three different serial tags, none of which are actually DK. It started out as Popeye, then was DK3, then some Vs. game and now DK.

I like SF2 but I am not sure if I want it in double vision. I would probably go Punch Out with it. Not sure if side art is available or not though. At least that cabinet seems to be in pretty good shape. You shouldn't have trouble converting it to whatever and having it look nice.

Yes, artwork for Punch-Out!! is cheap and available. I am giving timberterror a power supply and offered him a working Punch-Out!! PCB for $50. (slight off-color on mat and ropes, hardly noticeable, maybe a ROM or pot?)

i don't know about the dual-monitor variety, but i'm pretty sure there were dedicated PC-10 single monitor cabinets made. they're the same style and color (black) as R-Type, unlike the VS. cabinets which are gray.

Awesome score TimberT! I miss my old Punch-Out!! machine, really cool game, worth the build, time and money to return her back to PO! If I hadn't ran out of room eons ago I'd still own that machine... someday...

There is both single and dual monitor PC-10's... and a countertop model!! I moved a minty single monitor PC-10 from Jowseph's in CA down to Ace's in So Cal. Beautiful original machine.

If I wanted a playchoice 10 the double monitor is cool, but a big waste and kind of ugly... I actually think the single monitor PC-10 is the way to go, after seeing one in person it looks like less of a freak. (More attractive to look at)

The single monitor PC-10's do look like the same R-type style... I think it looks lean, mean, crisp and clean!
