Neat little game...the price was certainly right. Nice addition to the office at work!

Does anyone know where a scan of the manual is..or how to adjust the volume? The best I could find is it has something to do with the 2nd player joystick

Thanks!

I have a few of them. If you leave the stock pcb in there, the only way I found to adjust the volume was through the software (joystick).

If you wind up putting any other pcb in there, you'll likely need to tap in a power supply. The thing doesn't have much juice to power anything more than what's in there.

I'm running it in my dedicated Double Dragon cab and had to wire the "Game Menu" button to the service button.

There isn't much to the manual. Basically, it just shows the controls and how to adjust the volume (in the game menu and press up/down on 2P joystick).

You've got a Double Dragon running inside one of these Taito cabs? Any pictures/details to share? I'm wondering what to do with one of my spares :)

You don't have to hold the button.... you just have to be in the game menu and the 2P stick will adjust the volume.

Yeah, it wasn't hard. After moving the service button wire to the game menu slot on the jamma connector, it's straight plug-n-play.

I actually just put it up for sale yesterday to make room and have had zero bites. I'm thinking because it's been my only money pit and it is a nice cab, I might as well keep it. I was able to sell the other game and make a little room. :)

Ohh, you've got the Taito pcb inside your Double Dragon cabinet.

I was looking to toss a pcb into my countertop taito cab :) I've done this already with a blue elf, but was curious what other people have turned their countertop taitos into.

I picked up a stripped cab and have been rebuilding it. I have a 13" G07 in it (I had to swap frames to make it fit) and am in the process of installing a Jamma harness/Peter Chou PS. When I am done I will be using it with my test bench as well as keeping kiddie games in it for my daughter to play.

I would put in a horz 19:1 pcb after taking out most of the ones that don't work because of lack of buttons. It would mainly be a SMB MB machine. I would rebuild the CP with different art and top mount some Sanwa ball top type joysticks for more accuracy. Those stock chinese joys suck.

Got the volume up...thanks!

I agree the joysticks suck...will probably replace them eventually

That's what I love about my Double Dragon. I have Wico balltops that work great and it's nice that it's still in a Taito cab. I'm thinking if this will be a long-term keeper, I'll try to design some simple custom art for the marquee and control panel. My bezel is reversible to a generic Taito design so I'll flip it when I get a chance.
