"Tapper Arcade (Budweiser)

I am selling my original Tapper Arcade (Budweiser). These cabinets are really hard to find. The cabinet is good shape for how old the cabinet it. The side art and monitor bezel I would rate at a 7 to 9. I am missing the marquee as well as one tapper. I tried booting it up today and the game and monitor turned on and had a working system. When I put a coin in the game, the game turned off. Not sure whats wrong, I have no idea how to fix arcades. If anyone knows how to fix it, it might be a cheap fix.

I know the cabinet is worth good money, but I don't know what people are willing to spend.

Make me an offer I can't refuse. (No crazy offers, so please don't ask)

Also willing to trade for a Donkey Kong Arcade"

Tried to lowball and got a response that someone made a $350 offer.

Oh I'm not going to fall for it. I make an offer and if they don't like it, I move on.

This one needs a lot for $350. Plus, I have enough projects right now...

Saw this right when it got posted on craigs, and email back and forth with the guy. He said $300 was the lowest he'd take, and won't budge. Don't really care about tapper that much, so I passed on it.

Rating a 7 to 9 my A**!

How do people come up with these bogus quality ratings?!?

If I had a car missing a bumper, didn't start and had lots of wear and tear would I list it as 7 to 9? I don't think so.

This is a $150-200 machine maximum.

First, he didn't rate the GAME a 7 to 9. He specifically rated the bezel and side art a 7 to 9.

Second, if you're selling a car that's missing a bumper and has lots of wear and tear is a DeLorean it's worth a lot more than a VW bug in the same condition.

And of course, there's the relative liking or disliking of the game in question. I'd never pay a grand for an EDOT because I didn't really get into the game. But that doesn't mean that there wouldn't be someone willing to pay $500 for a mostly complete non-working EDOT.

OTOH, I DO like Tapper as a game, and it's fairly rare. If I didn't already have one and if this one was local (or even as far as SF or Arizona), I'd be jumping all over it for $300.

I bought mine for $700 in a complete, partially working state. monitor worked, board kinda booted up, but didn't play properly when I bought it.

So, while maybe the game is worth only $150-$200 TO YOU, I'm sure he could get more than that.

But if you buy it for $200.00 it is going to take at least another $300.00 to convert it to Timber to make it a fun game :)
