Ok, this cabinet was running Video Trivia and had a perfect picture. I pulled out the video trivia, installed a JAMMA harness, my City Connection to JAMMA adaptor and City Connection and I just can't get the screen adjusted right. The screen will lose sync when i almost get the horizontal position right.

I tried a Cabal board in it and it did the same thing. The City Connection board + adaptor works fine in my Die Hard cabinet.

The monitor is a WGk4900. No I have not installed a cap kit yet.

Wild cards.

I have the monitor installed upside down because City Connection outputs the video upside down (and the dip switch that is supposed to flip that does nothing).

The Trivia was hooked up with the 6 pin separate sync setup, while I am using the normal Jamma RGB ground +sync. Maybe I did that wrong? I just tied the two syncs together. Should I be hooking up the sync to that separate 3 pin input after the 6 pin one?

I have yet to stick another monitor in that cabinet, although I did try the board/adapter in another cabinet and it worked fine.

Have you tested it on another monitor?

Just asking because if it works with a new monitor then the monitor is out vise versa. Very curious to see if it's a chassis problem.

Jamma boards are negative composite sync. You should be connecting the sync wires to the 3 position connector. You may need to experiment a bit but I would try connecting both wires to the second pin and if that doesn't work shift them to the third.

This was it. I only had a single sync wire to use, before I was tying it to both sync inputs on the 6 pin connector. Once I ran my sync to the middle pin of that second connector it synced right up.

Now, just to clean up the wiring and do a little detail work on the cabinet, and what is probably the only City Connection machine in the world will be alive in my gameroom!
