My circus charlie crapped out this morning and now boots to "bad ram". When it died it froze with the display upside down and when powered back on only made it to the bad ram screen. Is the ram on this pcb the F2,F3 2114AP'S or the H1,H2 hm6116p-3's? Im going to order new ram from Bob but wasnt sure which chips were the actuall ram on this board.

Well I replaced both 2114's and two of the three 6116's and now the game boots to garbled graphics and lines of 0's. So much for my pcb repair on this one, im thinking the ram fault was a false fail code and there was something else breaking down with this one, sorry charlie.

It has complete sideart but faded, cab is solid but has some water damage therefore not worth putting anymore money into. Im bummed over the 20 bucks in ram I dumped :(. Im guessing it has a/or corrupt roms.

Faded sideart is typical for Circus Charlie. If the water damage isn't too bad then it shouldn't be hard to find a buyer for the game. Circus Charlie is not a "rare" game, but it is far from common. I don't know of any collectors in my area that own one, but I can think of several that would like to.

Hows the control panel?

I have a dedicated Circus Charlie and my control panel art is the worse for wear. Joystick also. Interested in parting the cab out? If so let me know.

But if you find a buyer that wants to restore the whole cab then by all means let it go to them first. If not and you are parting, let me know. Thanks.
