Circular Lock?

Why won't the regular ones work?

Sometimes you just have to modify the flat metal bar that attaches to the old lock so it will attach to the new one, but it should still work.

Flat metal piece

the flat metal piece (I am calling it a hasp) seems to be my problem. flat metal works for cabinet backs and coin doors. It slides against the rest of the cabinet and holds the lock in place.

This machine has a "security catch" attached to the coin box that sticks up perpendicular to the hasp. Turning the hasp would push the coin box out the front of the cabinet. Unless the hasp had a notch cut in it to grab the security catch and hold it in place.

You can't use the one off the old lock?

If not, this is a good excuse to buy a dremel tool! :)

You could contact Dave at http://www.themegatouchstore.com/index.html and see if he has the right one.

Or modify and existing one to suite.

Probably be something like this one.
Basically it will have a "hook" of some kind on it to grab the "security catch".
