Does anyone have a part # for the power connector molex's on Cinematronics CCPU's and sound boards such as Star Castle or Rip-Off?
I could just take a few wires on clips, but it'd be nice to use a standard connector for it for testing.

According to my Rip Off manual, the 12 pin connector on the cpu board listed as Wafercon 12 cir. is part number 09-18-5127. The 9 pin connector the sound board listed as Wafercon 9 cir. is part number 09-18-5094. My manual lists a 6 pin connector as well although I do not notice this connector on my machine. That part number is 09-18-5069. Hope that helps with what you were looking for.

hmm, yes good part numbers. Seems they're all obsolete. Tried a google search.
It'd been nice to have a couple if I decided to make a bench harness but not sure how I'd actually test it without then having a bench monitor to boot. No biggy.
I've never really gotten the knack of Cinematronics testing. Even if I had a Cinexor, I'd then have to learn how to use it.

I had a feeling they would be obsolete, good luck with your efforts. I just got my rip off earlier this week for $30.00 and it has a monitor problem. No clue how to test things like this but that is why I bought it, to learn from. I think I found the answer to my problem in another thread so I will buy parts and see what happens. If I can be of further help by looking into my machine or manual for you, let me know. I am still very new at testing voltages myself however but am willing to try to help out if I can.

Those 12 and 9 pin connectors are the same ones used on older Williams pinball power supplies and if you check a couple of pinball supply places you will find them. They are called wafer connectors, I believe.

I wish I just had monitor problems. I've rebuilt two of them so far. I always find the CCPU problem boards and video as well. :)
If you do many Cinematronics vectors you'll find Bill Boucher is your new best friend.

Hopefully I will be lucky. I will keep that name in case I need it, is he here on the forums? I am just guessing my cpu is fine because the sounds correspond to the buttons I push. Hopefully I don't have any graphical issues because when it comes to boards I am clueless. Good luck, it sounds like you may be able to find those connectors after all.

You could use these...
9-pin

12-pin

Both of these are still available.....but the female pin is in the WRONG position. You'll have to pop it out (and one of the male pins) and switch their position.

Thanks Ed. I took a look at the boardset and the Eproms are hacked. Going to probably send this Ripoff board out for repair to someone that's a pro at ccpu's. Had they not been tampered with I'd probably feel more comfy working on it.
But the first Eprom was fine. The rest of the 3 had pin 3 cut and tied into Pin 1. Then I believe there were extra lines run to other areas of the board. The checksum was good on the first eprom however the last 3 were different - but their checksums never changed after multiple checks so probably just a different version. I tried the Mame checksums.
I don't feel comfortable with replacing the 2716's reprogrammed if the boards been hacked so - shipping it off.
