Well, totally rebuilt a Star Castle Monitor thanks to Bill Bouchers excellent component listing.
Still have a quirk with it though. If anyone has any idea please let me know what you think the problem looks like. Thanks
Cinematronics issues

Although no help...I got about the same problem you have...just the opposite vectors if that make any sense. I started messing with it last night.

Mine has had some word done to it.

I found a couple bad diodes that I'll be replacing. If I figure anything out I'll certainly let ya know

I'd guess the Lf1331 (analog switch). I'd also try swapping the two DACs around to see if the symptoms change. The LF1331's are getting difficult to find and expensive.

Sho nuff! It was the LF13331N. I'll have to get back with Mark as this was part of an order for one and 2 replacement Dac80's.
Curious though, my brightness control is all the way up and frankly, it's not that bright. That could be the old tube though I'd guess?
Hoping the alignment of the overlay goes well as I didn't find any left/right - up/down adjustment, just picture size expansion in both directions.
Someone once mentioned the black material used to adhere the overlay. I tried cutting strips of white double sided sticky tape for my Armor Attack, but that stuff is so highly visible.

It's pretty common for the old Cinematronics tubes to get dim over time. There are a members here that have used a rejuvenator to bring their monitors back to life.

Gave here a whirl. Must have shot this thing a dozen times. Didn't seem to improve much. Not sure if it was just because it got dark, but it did appear to be a bit brighter.
What is the meaning of the flashing Focus lamp?

Notice the HTR lamp illuminated. That is not good news.
