Any good writeups on fixing these? Trying to help someone over the phone who's got a Star Castle cocktail with a monitor issue. It's a Keltron. Looks to be a 13" or 14".

It had some burned up parts on the chassis, and two of the four deflection transistors on the frame were shorted. He ordered some parts and I told him to replace all four deflection transistors.

Well, he installed it all tonight, and only has the top half of his picture.

I walked him through the basics base on what normal EH or WG vector issues would be, and he can't find any cold solder, all the wiring and connectors appear good, all the transistors "read" fine, and he has voltage readings of about 30-31vdc at the casings on the four transistors.

I don't know enough specifics about the Keltron to direct him further, and the only real info I can find on the monitor is in the Star Castle manual. The B&W Vector FAQ doesn't even mention it.

Any other resources?

Other transistors

Also have him check transistors at Q107 and Q109.

Bad transistors on the display board also tend to fry resistors. You may want to check for fried resistors and replace them with 5W ceramic parts.

Well, he'd already replaced a couple fried resistors, but he fried them again. I had him check some transistors and he found two that were shorted, but I don't know which two...
