Anyone installed Chrome T-Molding? It seems to be a little more fragile than standard T-Molding as the chrome appears to eb "wrapped" around the original plastic T-molding... so it begs the question... Will I be jacking my chrome t-molding up by using a rubber mallet to install it?

I used a rubber mallet when installing the chrome t-molding on my 720 and had no issues. It also has a plastic film coating on it and I left that in place until it was applied.

I say go for it.

I don't have a rubber mallet, but used a regular hammer with a felt furniture "foot" stuck to it with no problems. I too left the plastic coating on while I was hammering.

The chrome t-molding I got seemed to be chrome all the way through. It also had a clear film over it to keep it shiny. I put it on with a hammer (didn't have a rubber mallet at the time) and it went on fine. Peeled the film off afterwards...

I use this on jump kits for rowe jukeboxes often and it looks great. never had a problem with it. It's not brittle or anything. seems to be the same as all others.

I didn't have any issues with mine. I installed it with a rubber mallet, and just like the rest of the guys, I left the protective plastic on until I was finished.

I beat mine in with an erect penis. No problems with the t-molding, but there was some significant bruising on my mushroom tip. :)

I use a rubber mallet when applying all tmolding. Installed the chrome on a few games, (tmolding makes such a bold statement and makes any game look amazing when the right color is chosen) and as long as you leave the plastic on until done, you should be just fine. Post some pics when your done......I love the look of chrome molding!

rubber mallet works just fine on it. Unless your mallet was used for dry-laying flagstone in gravel...swiss cheese man, swiss cheese.
