What's the story with this guy? Last news I read about him was back in 2005. I'd like to get a reproduction Pinbot cabinet.

Is getting business from him like hiring the A-Team? Maybe rendezvous at a back alley downtown. Get into an awkward discussion with a wino. He eventually pulls off his fake nose and beard to reveal his true identity! I then have a new cabinet in 2 weeks!

Seriously, what's up?

Guess I should be glad that my cabinet's in pretty good shape and I've been able to touch up most of the annyoning looking parts with some simple black paint.

How much does a full repro cabinet run? 1000$+Shipping or more?

BigTime does not do pinball cabinets anymore. I know Scott that runs it. Try contacting Doug at Lets Play Pinball. He makes new pinball cabinets. I own one. They are perfect.

Yeah, like 1300$ for everything including appyling artwork..doesn't include the price of said artwork....

Currently poking around to see if anyone still has stencils available. Will let you guys know if I turn anything up.

I hear ya's. Unfortunately, the cab is pretty beat up with one leg ready to pop off. Good news is the playfield and electronics are perfect. I might just either try a repair or cut new pieces myself.

Well that is clearly for high end restorations. I am sure there is a lot of time and labor. If your not doing volume you would have to charge to make it worth your while.

Hi Juan:

Chris here. BTC closed shop back in 2006 and was permanently dismantled. For those who did not know, BTC was a small business run under a bigger business that was involved in a completely different endeavor. The roots of BTC existed because the owner of the main business was a woodworker, and of course Scott Self loved pinball - hence the "marriage" and resulting BTC effort. My involvement was due to by experience in manufacturing and love of pinball as well.

BTC closed for a variety of reasons, mostly because of the pressures from copyright owners (artwork), and a reasonably small amount of business (niche market). In addition, Scott and the owner went separate ways.

I walked off with some jigs/plans/parts, but the CNC went elsewhere as did the website.
I cannot help you, unfortunately, we never did a Pinbot style cabinet, so I don't even have plans for them - though they were in the pipeline.

And there you have it - the "rest of the story".

Chris

Adding to the "dammit" factor on Pinbot right now..

contacted one guy who used to make the stencils, he got Cease and Desist-ed by Planetary Pinball. He said that one guy bought the rights to *all* of the Williams cab artwork, apparently. I did email the guy currently selling stencil kits on ebay to see if they produce a Pinbot stencil currently, or can, and apparently, he's too busy making money to respond.
