Can someone take pics of a Choplifter joystick?

I need to find one and KLOV appears to have pics of unoriginal control panel assemblies.

Thanks.

(P.S.: I'm also looking for one if someone has one they want to sell/trade).

The mystery persists.

The Choplifter joystick is like Bigfoot. Many have seen it, but no one has ever taken a clear picture of it.

It depends...they may have included a joystick in the kit, if they thought it needed a specific one.

I've seen Choplifter with many different joysticks, but when I finally make one of my own, I'll make one using a joystick I remember as a kid. The Choplifter then had a Joystick similar to a Xenophobe joystick. It was a flightstick with trigger for shooting, and two buttons on the top for rotating left or right. I can remember playing it with one hand, and got pretty good at it. Later I found one with a regular joystick with buttons on the control panel, and it wasn't nearly as much fun...

EDIT - Here's the last two I saw:

I also remember having to use a flight stick with a trigger when playing back in the mid 80s.

The stick itself was for directional changes. Left, right and elevation. (I think the control description at KLOV is is a little off).

The stick goes left and right, but not for turning around. If you move right while flying left, then you just fly backwards at a reduced speed. You'll still shoot forward. You need buttons to turn left and right, which is why the Xenophobe style is the best IMO...

Isnt Choplifter a conversion only? And therefor no official joystick? Thanks for the shoutout, and bringing up the bad memories!!!!!!!
Incorrect. A small number of dedicated Choplifters were made, but are impossible to find now. I have the dedicated cabinet, but it was converted prior to me finding it. :( The CPO was unique and lit from the under side. As for what the original joystick looked like??? You're guess is as good as mine. I have seen numerous MACH3, Astron Belt and Galaxy Rangers converted to Choplifter and each used the original game joystick.

I still have a Galaxy Ranger CP with joystick and buttons that was converted to Choplifter. Any interest?

Yes. And if I remember correctly, a single press would orientate the chopper in a position facing you so you can drop munitions on the enemy. And the trigger on the joystick was for firing. I think the Klov information for the controls needs to be edited. But the pictures of those hacked cabinets there show incorrect control panel formats. (I'm still looking for a pic of the original joystick though).
