Should I try and restore this thing back into a Wizard of Wor? I think the original control panel is there they may have just put a hole in the center of it for the joystick that is currently in it. Anyone know what a board set runs? I think I just need that, a new CPO and the marquee if I wanted to try... not sure its worth it though.

You should. WoW is a great game. It's the first game I remember talking to me. Love the sound! Still haven't made it to The Pit.

It must have been game release timing, but WoW was converted to Choplifter and Wonderboy a lot... I have run into several...

I hope you like working on boards...

I have a hate hate diemuthafucker relationship with my wow cabaret at the moment.

Yea, hopefully I can find a working board set for a decent price then I might take a crack at it. I'm going to clean it up for now at least and rebuild the monitor it needs it badly. I can barely see anything on the tube. I need to find the brightness on the damn thing... The flyback only seems to have a focus knob that I can see so far (It's a WG4600 chassis never seen one before). I will crack it back open sometime this week and poke around.

If the 4600 works... Awesome. But there are no repo flybacks. I offered $100 at one point for an nos. And noone would offer one up. So I'm switching to g07s in cabs im keeping.

The daughter cards are apparently the heel of them. They require reflowing and can cause vertical collapse.

Which is what mine is doing.

As far as a working wow boardset? Have not seen one offered since I have been looking.

Nonworking sets have been going around 225-325 if you can find one.

Some cards sold on ebay earlier this year for cheap... But i was not looking at that time.

If it pops up on ebay.... I know..

Christ! I'm not looking to spend that kinda cash for a game I don't even like... time to part this thing out! LOL!

There are 3 customs. The vocoder vx01 i think? Is going 50-80$ at the moment alone.

I am still looking for decent priced boards for wow.

Id like to purchase in jan or feb a working ram card for troubleshooting.

I've got a WOW cabinet that was converted to a Trivia Whiz. It still has the additional boards in it but not the PCB stack. I had been thinking of restoring it but like you can't find the boards. It's still missing the joysticks and I haven't even looked at the harness. Right now I'm thinking that I just want it out of my garage. I'm giving myself until the spring and then I may just slap a 60 in 1 in it to unload it. I don't know of anyone selling a multi board with WOW on it otherwise I might go that route.

Yea, they rigged the dual joystick of Wor to make it a 4 way in my game. There are some wires I see snipped here and there so not sure if they were used for Wor... doesn't seem like it. Not sure about the PCB connector either... if anything had to change on that to work with a Choplifter PCB.
