HOT is good, all mylars are good. Replaced electrolytics, still in
HV shutdown with the familiar chirp. No sign of cracks on flyback
but I don't have a spare Flyback at the moment.
Flyback next ?
Does anyone have a schematic for this ?
Thanks !
Can you take a picture over the chassis
so we can look at the parts its using and i can offer some test points.
and the flyback #.
The SMPS will chirp if it has a high load on the secondary or if the
primary of the smps is not working correctly..
Neotec is not sharing the schematic. Or anyone else. Its a older chassis.
The ones i have seen clearly are mark what chassis it is.
But not much written up except a cap listing
Were all the parts OEM and did you sub any caps with a different value?
Was the set working at one time and then just failed?
Do you have voltages jumping up and down on the secondary diodes
of the smps..monitor the dc on the cathodes of them..
if they are missing then check the primany circuit.
If there is voltage then see which diode is jumping up down faster or not reaching its
max voltage..odds are it load is shorted or pulling down your dc.
Any shorts on the secondary taps will cause the smps to which the current off.
and have a chirpping sound to the smps.
High current parts are a suspect first like vertical ic..removing it would eliminate
it as a suspect..the chassis does not need vertical deflection to get high voltage.
AS you trouble shoot the chassis.Good Luck!
