Hi everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone had any personal experience with this particular desoldering gun. It appears to be a Hakko 808 clone, but not exactly and I'm confident the parts are not interchangeable.

I've got my eye on it because A) I can't find a Hakko 808 for sale anywhere, and B) I don't want to spend $270~ on a Hakko FR-300.

I found this, and it seems to be selling without anyone throwing up crazy negative feedback on the sellers about it NOT working.

I'd appreciate any constructive thoughts--I know it's cheap Chinese stuff and I'm getting what I pay for, in the end, but I refer back to the above.
