Hi everyone

I have a Chicago coin Las Vegas shuffle. I think the model #is 416. Was wondering a couple of things first do these hold much of a value? Mine is almost 100% working except for a bad coil. The condition of the machine is what I would call very good.Second question is any idea where I might find a coil for it? The number on the coil is u23-875 if any one knows about these please let me know.

Thanks
Steve

Coil can be found by The Pinball Resource, Marcos, or Lakeside. Most coils are anywhere from 7.50 to 10.50 dependent on which one you need.

Regarding the worth. That is a tricky question. Right collector will pay if their looking for this piece. With the popularity of the reality shows American Pickers, etc. prices have gone up from 200 to 500 over the past year.

I'd start at $700.00 as it is a somewhat unique title for a shuffle alley. Don't be disappointed though if you pull $500-$600 as it is a shuffle alley and restored traditionally would pull these prices.

I've seen others for standard shuffle alley's post on Mr. Pinball (free sales site), ebay, craigslist for $1K and they sit there forever.

Hope the information helps. Good luck on the sale...

I'm convinced a fully or close to fully operating shuffle alley in reasonably good condition will bring $500 or thereabouts.

I'm told that there is a collector faction out there for shuffle alleys. I remain skeptical. Very skeptical.

I have a United 1953 Chief Shuffle Alley. One recently sold in the Denver area on Ebay for $1200. I happen to think this was a case of stupid, wild bidding, which occasionally happens on Ebay. IMHO, it is not reflective of true value, but rather an extreme case.

Shuffle alleys are pretty much looked down upon by ball bowler owners who pretty much regard them as debris.

I happen to think most shuffle alleys priced over $700 - $800 or so, and being sold on Craigslist or Ebay, sit forever, unsold.
There also are lots of shuffle alleys, not in operating condition, where the sellers are asking $400 & up. The sellers ALWAYS insist its an easy fix, like cleaning the contacts. LOL. A non working Shuffle alley is worth only $100. $150 tops.

Restoring a shuffle alley is just as time consuming as restoring a ball bowler. A restored & fully operational ball bowler sells for serious $$. A restored & fully operational shuffle alley might realistically bring $1000, but it likely will bring less and take months to sell.

I have both a shuffle and a ball bowler, my shuffle is a newer digital (sys 9 strike zone) and it's a hit at parties, my ball bowler is in pieces waiting for me to attack it someday and restore it (60's aztec) i've played both and yes ball bowlers are more fun but a SS shuffle is way easier to maintain then all the dam relay's in an EM but em shuffle alleys are a hard sell esp if the buyer doesn't have a clue whats in one, can be a lil intimidating to look in a EM bowler for the first time. tops for a em shuffle $1k,
