At start up coin shute makes cliking sound while one of the servos keeps rotating but never reset the score to start.its my first pin this old.also have a wire by the coindoor not going to anything. see video. Thanks for any help.

is the ball count reel correctly resetting?
you should see Ball # "1" light up as a result.

you say the scores don't reset? so it's not even trying to zero out
the score reels at all? typically, a game that is stuck in a loop and
won't initialize has a score reel that isn't reporting back as being in
the ZERO position. i believe there is a secondary signal wire for this
very reason.

Player one lights up and ball #1 lite is on,then sometimes one reel will move a little when you push the credit button but never zeros out, then its back to making a lot of noise. All of the wires are connected but the one at the coin door.

yes juding by the video you are in the classic "can't reset the scores" loop.
try manually putting all score reels to zero, see if game now advances to ball eject.

Reset to zeros and it wont kick the ball out, same sounds.if i press the exit ramp switch like the ball leaving playfeild it will actvate the ball kickout switch one time but very weak.

clean score reels

Cleaned score reel connections with rubbing alcohol. all reels move to zero except the first one on player one.the side with the cotacts looks wore down,I moved it by hand and applied some presure to make sure the contacts made contact to reset to zero but found lots of points are not reconized.Does anyone know a good source for replacement boards for the reel, also have some weak springs.ThanksEd

I had fun cleaning and repairing my EM pin. I read marvin3m page for page (even on stuff that didn't apply to me) there are great tips throughout. Just start cleaning and adjusting the switches for the reels/steppers and it should solve most of your problems.

Aha.. So you're the one that beat me to that Pin :) I just missed out on that.. so what kind of shape was it in?

I gotta agree. You'll kill yourself trying to diagnose EMs, best thing to do, especially when it's a recent acquisition, is to just go over it top to bottom. Clean and adjust every switch. Resolder those wires with a 200w gun. Look for corrosion and clean it up. Give it some TLC and it will play like new.

My son pick it up to surprise me,it was a surprise.I had two hockey games that night so we unloaded at 11pm.The back glass is a 10 playfeild 7.You going to the auction?

The back glass is a 10

lucky bastard. mine is like a 3. flaking to hell and washed with red
paint from some amateur touch-up job.

you got a buyer in me if you were to part the thing out!

Nope I gotta work. I miss out on all the auction because I have to work every sat. The forced time off killed all my vacation time this year.

Ha.. I was actually going to get that Pin for my dad. He mentioned that he would like to start restoring them, and I thought it would have been a good one for him to learn on. The old guys with EM pins :) I'm more of a early to mid 80's guy myself.
