Guys, I'm going to college in Chicago and I'm coming in this Tuesday afternoon. Anything I need to hit that evening? Its basically wide-open for me to do anything that evening, and I'm going to need to kill some time. Ideas?

I'm not actually sure where yet I'm staying tuesday night, but probably in Melrose Park area. I will have a truck to drive around. I've been to Galloping Ghost, and I was thinking about going again, but it was almost an hour drive last time, so I'm up in the air about that one. I do have a good amount of time to kill, as I've getting in around 4pmish to meet up with someone for an hour or so, then I'm going to be wide open from then until 10-11pmish.

I dunno where you were staying in Melrose Park, but Galloping Ghost is like 20 minutes away from there. I haven't been to Logan's Hardware yet but it's farther. That's about all I know of out that way.

Make sure you stop by Johnnie's Beef on North Ave while you're here - it's in Elmwood Park so not too far. Bring cash.

Hmm well if Galloping Ghost is that close from Melrose Park, I'll probably end up there. Last time I was in Chicago I wasn't staying in Melrose Park, so that's probably why Galloping Ghost was so far away, its been almost a year so my memory is starting to blur. Johnnie's Beef looks like an awesome place! I actually believe I drove past it last time I was in Chicago, but it was late night and they were closed.

The Ghost is not that far from Melrose Park at all. Maybe it will take you a half hour to get there depending on traffic. Tuesday night (tomorrow) they are doing some big Mortal Kombat event as part of their anniversary so it should be a good time.

Logan Hardware is very cool. There's a new arcade on Milwaukee Ave in Wicker Park. I haven't been yet, but it's supposed to be open. Bottom Lounge has about 8 pins upstairs and they play well...

If you want to go far away, there's an arcade in Algonquin that's great.

Now that I'm finally settled in all nice and well I figured I would stop in and update.

1) Johnnie's Beef is to die for! Wow, that is an amazing place to eat. Its cheap, it tastes amazing, and its roughly 3 miles away from where I now have a job.

2) I didn't make it to Ghalloping Ghost Tuesday night, however, I spent basically all day there Thursday. Place was amazing the first time I went last October, and it has only gotten better.

So anyone in Chicago have a collection they wanna open up for me to see ;)
