In diagnostic mode I am getting a CRC check error at Rom 01 and 04. Looking at the schematic I believe this is referring to the eproms at locations A 1 and A 4. Is this correct? If not could someone point me to the location on the board where my issue should be. Also any clue if this might affect the ability for the gun shots to register on screen?
Thanks, Dan

The CRC check at 1 and 4 on a Cheyenne pcb are A1 and A4 on the logic board. The processor may not run depending on the extent of chip failure at these locations. (also A3 and A6).

So yes, you are correct.

Thanks for your reply. I also posted a more detailed variation of this post at www.dontshootyourfriends.org. I just wanted to confirm that what I was thinking was correct. So now that it seems I have an idea where the test is telling me there is an issue I may have a different problem. My game was working 100% before I installed the 440 kit. Now I'm getting this CRC error. Since the eproms at A1, A3, A4 and A6 have been removed to install the kit I'm thinking the issue might be with the kit?

I'll look at the post over there.
