We all know why they are called "grey-area" games. Well...I have a very unique machine that I have posted on YouTube. ( I apologize for the poor quality of the video, I'm no expert at any form of photography )

Basically it's a TRIVIA machine which can turn into a CHERRY MASTER machine via wireless remote control. If the power is disconnected or turned off, the machine ALWAYS comes back on as a TRIVIA machine. The remote can work from up to 50+ feet away ( an extended range antenna which works over 1000 ft away is also an option ).

Great Idea,

But...as the undercover cop sits at the bar and watchs the bartender point the remote at the Cherry master and switch it from Trivia game to Cherry Master for one of the patrons. Or they watch the pay outs as the bartender records the payout in the spiral note book and counts out the cash infront of the winner.

These would be great for a members only club. A Knock at the door the panel slides open "its the cops" Door man pushes a button, light lights in the bar and cherry masters go trvia and the bar is serving ice tea to the glass eyed patrons.

Another problem I have run into is the P(^%^ wife who turns the bar in because her husband has spent his paycheck on the poker machine.

Very true. YOU WILL NEVER be able to stop the "fired" bar-tender who knows "the ropes" or the upset wife scenarios. NEVER.

But.....something is better than to do nothing to have an edge .

I actually saw one years ago that switched to SFII with a remote! Try playing THAT with 8-liner buttons. :p That one was one board with a rom hack of some kind from the factory.

There are quite a few busts reported about these type of machines and other hidden gambling. Here are a couple I found with the google.

Yea. Those are what I refer to as "computer based" grey-area machines. There are companies selling that same ( perhaps exact ) system in the trade magazines as "lottery or sweepstakes" multi-games.
My game is nothing like that. Mine "appears" to be a trivia or such, but can be remotely switched to a "grey" machine and vice-versa.

But let me stress again, the machine is only as discrete as the person(s) whom keep his or her mouth shut.
