ok so i purchased a busted down cherry master by astro corp . Ive been able to get it working only in DEMO mode, the bill validator powers up, however no matter what denomination i putin it no credits register to play....anyone ever have this problem

Is this for home use? What I did was just installed a button in place of the coin mech works great for me but I know its also nice to have everything working correctly. What brand and model of bill validator

Forgot to ask will take and hold the bills when you put it in or reject them?

it takes the bills, it seems like the acceptor isnt sending a pulse to the machine for it to register the amount of credits to play

The Blue and Purple wire off of the bill validators wiring harness. Were do you have them going to on the cherry master board?

Also pull up a pin out of a cherry master wirring harness. There are several inputs(Coin In)
available. These are selectable from the dip switch settings on the cherry board.

Dose the machine have a Coin In Slot. You can tye your DBA across those wires. Just make shure that you have ground to ground (Common the Purple Wire from the DBA) going to one of the black wires off of the wirring harness from the cherry master.

The Blue wire goes to the Coin In.

If those are reversed you will not get a pulse off of the billvalidator.

i have them going into what lookis like a 6 way splitter, they both are connected together and then lead to a grey wire that connects to the board in position 18, id does not run off coins at all just bills, i appreciate all of the help =)

rj thank you so much, i just took the purple wire to the black and left the blue on the grey and perfect!!!! thanks so much for everyones help!!! you are awesome!!!!

how do you figure out who made the game, i have two that im working on and just bought a new board for one and still cant get it to work

Check out J-R Amusement for info you can download on a particular game board. Most games use the same pinout, but there ARE exceptions. Without a pinout chart and switch settings list, working on one of these things is nearly impossible. And don't assume a switch setting is correct without testing it out, sometimes the settings are ass-backward. Welcome to the wonderful world of 8-liners.

What are the boards doing/not doing.

this site has alot of set up manuals for the 8linner boards.
