I am going to check on buying a "lot" of machines, and there are a few sit down racers I would have to sell if I was able to buy them. The machines would be

Initial D twin
Star Wars Pod Racing
Need for speed

First question would be what would be a good asking price assuming they are all in fair working order? Secondly if anyone in near southern ohio is looking for any of these?

I don't know for sure yet, but I think Pod Racer and Need For Speed are deluxe cabs.

As someone who recently had a Daytona Twin racer for sale,
let me tell you that you'll get a WHOLE bunch of "..gee, I wish I had the space... "

The reality is that racers are big and hard to move around
(..especially twins) and few people have the space to put them.

Unless you're lucky, you'll need to practically give them away
before people make the effort to go pick them up.
( I sold my Daytona Twin for $300 ! )

I would say these games are a tough sell.

But maybe your titles are more in demand... I don't know those games well enough...

Good luck,
Steph

You are right they take up a lot of space, hopefully some one that has the room may see this.

I got a pair of one of my fav games for FREE, and I'm pondering getting rid of them just because of the space they eat...and they're in my garage right now.

If the guy had wanted even $50 I would have passed, though I supplied my own monitors. I only bit because they were free, and even now I'm regretting it.

Big games require you play the waiting game until the right buyer comes along if you want a decent price for them, otherwise expect to offload a lower price than your average UR.

i only collect games that i plan on keeping, i dont think i can ever get rid of my Daytona 2 twins...They were a pain to pick up, pain to get in the house, & pain to put it together but its an awesome game & best racer ever!

Good thing about racing games is that it cant be replicated by console systems.

As I recall, the tube monitors originally used in Pod Racer are no longer made and people are always looking for working ones, or the chassis. That might be worth picking up for the right price.

The other two machines might not be worth the trouble.

Depending on how much you are in to them for, you might be able to donate them to a local youth center, and get a pretty good tax write off for donating them.
