Checking Interest: 4-Player Eliminator CPO's

Scott, do you need panels made?

FWIW, the panels are just standard Sega convert-a-cabinet panels. So any of these will work fine once stripped, patched, and punched appropriately:

Zaxxon
AstroBlaster
Star Trek
Tac/Scan
Space Fury
Eliminator
005
Congo Bongo
Monster Bash
Space Odyssey

Or found on any number of converted games on ebay :)

As most of these were G80 kits, there are more panels floating around than cabinets for them. I know I was able to score four rather quickly after this post was announced.

If panels get done for this I'm in for a full set. I managed to snag a metal/plastics kit so I have to get them eventually, might as well get brand new and freshly powder coated ones that don't require patching. :D

Should be easy to meet the minimum on those, too, since there are 4 per unit. :)

Yes, and they have the control panel lockdown latches, even though they are not used.

I can do them with the pins and no latches, powder coated (or galvanized, but might be more, not sure). I can bring a sample panel to the shop and at least get this quoted. Id need a template for hole placement if this end up being made.

I just figured you'd do the latches as well, since then people could by them for the other games I listed above (more people might request remakes then).

Are the button holes the same on any of those games as eliminator? Maybe I could just make a few extra blanks so people can use them in more games???

Astro Blaster control panel is like a Frogger panel and will not work.

Bump for an update on artwork etc. Going to get some quotes to have the cabinet cut.
Have to have something to work on in the heat of the summer.

Not that different..

I think they're all one and the same aren't they? I believe the upright sega convertacab control panels are the same as the original sega Eliminator 4 player island.

They're very different. If someone tracks down the films I will be happy to print them. Mine could use a fresh set....

OMG you've got to be kidding me. I've collected 4 Sega CP's as someone told me they were the same CP's that were used with the 4 player island. Probably $200 worth of control panels.

Well if that's true, then I'm Instantly onboard for 4 Control Panels for the 4-Player island version of Eliminator if Troy is still considering it.
Any chance you might have an island Brett could use to reproduce these cabinets?

Zinfer, you can use standard Sega convertacab control panels. Strip them and put repro Elim 4player artwork on them.

Same panels, not same artwork.
