I've not seen this before, was this mass produced? It actually looks pretty good except for the control panel. P1 / P2 buttons would have cost $4 extra.....Too bad they used a classic cab too....

Looks like a whole new cab to me? The outer shape seems a bit off to be an original. Also looks wider for a 25 inch. Neat art though. Looks like something a CEC would have.

That doesn't look like any classis cab I have ever seen. It is similar to the Midway cabs but it looks like it has been stretched front to back as well as offsetting the control panel in order to make everything fit.

The joystick looks cheap to me. It looks similar to the joystick used on the mini-Midway cabs sold at Target.

They must of been somewhat mass produced. I've seen them a lot in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. They feel like crap though. First time I saw them was the 1st annual MidAtlantic Coinop show or whatever it was called a few years ago. The CP sucks as well.

You're right, that shape isn't quite right is it?

It may have been mass produced but that CP looks like a home job.

I wish people would go with the less-is-more concept when making artwork. All these multi-cabs look so busy it's annoying. All those loud colors and graphics, but then the bezel and panel top are plain black. Button spacing is too distant, too. Can we also make a big burnpile out of the remaining 48-in-1 boards? The world would be a better place.

I agree, everytime I see a 48in1 cab I think to myself, 'shoulda spent the extra 10 bucks dude'.

On this one I have to differ, I think the side artwork is good, the front is 'ok' but the bezel and cp definitely need some love.

Look at a Food Fight cab, those are covered from head to toe with art.

Miminalist is good as long as you don't have a 2001 monolith in your basement.

Looks pretty hideous... Very odd button spacing on the left side... And strange color selection fot the buttons as well.. All red but then the do a red and a blue for what looks like the Start buttons. Then they go and label the buttons with a Brother label maker? The CPO and Bezel are plain black. Also is that a hinge on the front of the CPO? Amd the characters on the side art look off centered... I wouldn't pay money for it if someone was selling em.

Yeah it kind of looks like someone repaired one that was damaged but had to scrounge parts from wherever he could.

It's an ubercabinet, made up from parts of lesser cabinets....

Well, Food Fight is a game about making a mess, so Atari was on-target with all the art. But most well-produced machines worked on by actual, professional graphic artists take shape from carefully selected color palettes that combine well and from shapes and spacing that doesn't make your eyes bleed. I'd rather have a plain blue cabinet than all that mess. I can tolerate one, two, maybe three distracting elements, at best. Not 43.

Man, sometimes I feel like the Andy Rooney of arcade stuff. And I ain't even 40 yet.

The CP is actually aluminum. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it isn't black. I don't recall any labeling, button colors, or the number of buttons on all the ones I've seen. All have been shiny aluminum, part of the reason why I said the CP sucks.

Ok but what do you think about that Midway cab that Target sold a few years back? I'm not talking about all the garbage parts, just the side artwork. The side art wasn't completely horrible. The rest of the cab was a steaming pile - look at the bezel on those things, they were disgusting.

Here's one I saw recently (cell phone pics). The side art looks pretty nice on the cab (although Dr. Mario isn't in the game list), but the CPO art is overdone. I think the marquee would have been better without the frogger screenshot...

Yeah that's actually not too bad but it's just a bit overboard with the cut and paste character graphics. If they had toned that part down I'd like that. The background color swirl pattern is kind of cool looking...
