And he just called me to tell me he ran out of gas on the way home, killed his battery trying to get it started, had his fiancee come help, and finally got it home....

Yup!! Its mine! the running out of gas part was dumb (thought I could make it home)

So this is my game hauler ...

neat trucks. I hope I can find a car with the money I got saved up so I can't go buying more machines.(the one I have is really fun tho)

Wow that brings back memories. I had one of those trucks in my late teens that I lowered way, way down, although mine wasn't channeled like that one is. Overall height was probably about the same since I did a convertable hardtop conversion with a 3" roof chop (using the "lean the windshield frame back so it still takes stock windshield glass" method).

Later on when I was older, had money and wanted to do another one I could never find one anywhere. Is that the dodge, mitsubishi or plymouth model?

Its a 1980 Plymouth arrow that I have dubbed "AIRROW".

the dodge d50/mightmax/arrow are all the same vehicle from 1978-1982. I have done about 98% of all the work to this little MiniTruck, just need to save pennies for the paint job! (I can't do bodywork/paint)

D50 went right on until 86 in that body style.

Did you narrow the rear end or do those wheels have a funny offset. From the name I assume the suspension is air. That sort of thing was still super exotic back when I did mine.

Now that you've bought my game I can say - quit buying games and you'd be able to get your truck painted...

Don't even paint it. Just primer it. The minute you paint it something will happen do it. I got a massive door ding on mine 2 days after it came out of the paint shop with its "Oh so early 90s" purple-green-yellow paint job.

I want to see said paint job!!!

and Yup, Its on air, And I order the wheels with a "funny" offset, there 19x8.5 and 6.0" of the rim are offset to the inside so I could tuck. I would love to have a deep dish rear wheel, but I'd have to narrow the rearend A LOT!

I might still have a photo somewhere, I would have to go through my moms old photo album stuff.

I used 14x7 chrome wheels with 60 series tires (once again, early 90s, anything over 15" was exotic back then) and I had to flatten the wheel well lip in back to avoid messing up the tires.

I am still in love with those trucks, they never got the proper lowrider love. You could chop the front springs on one of those things like 5" and the wheels wouldn't even bend in (oh you would still buy new front tires every year but at least you wouldn't drive around with 15 degrees of visible negative camber).

Lowest point on mine was the front suspension crossmember. Mine sat right at about 1" to 1.5" off the ground. There was this place in my neighborhood where the road was a bit higher in the middle and I could throw sparks for 100 yards!
