So here's the deal... I have three microswitches to replace in my Soul Calibur II cab, but a lot of places I look have minimum order requirements or charge a lot up front per switch. Does anyone here have an affordable and trusted dealer to suggest?

Sometimes those drawers at Radio Shacks still have some microswitches floating around in them. A local mom and pop electronics store by my work still has a ton of them in stock too.

Nothing like buying a microswitch online for a buck, and then it costs 7 bucks to get it to your house. WTF.

I don't know about shipping, but they're $1 a pop from Bob Roberts. He'd probably only charge a couple bucks if they fit in an envelope.

I usually just spring the extra 25 cents and get a new button too.

Last time I checked he has a flat ~$9 base shipping fee regardless of size. Perhaps he does "tiny" lot pricing now?

I think it is a little cheaper than that, but really, better to buy more than you need. Grab 20 buttons with switches and have some stock for a while.

Bob charges flat rate priority (somewhere in the $8 range now). It's too much trouble for him to calculate shipping on each order so they all go out for the same amount unless it exceeds a box size. USPS only, priority "if it fits it ships" only. I usually try to order no less than $20 of parts at a time to make it worth it. Technically I could drive to his place for less but it's his policy.

Better off just spending $1.25 with Bob Roberts and getting real happ buttons with real cherry switches. I have always found the cheaper import switches and buttons to take too much effort to press.

tbbk,
I do this as well. Just spend the extra $.25 and replace the whole thing. Although tighe has a great thread on here about buffing up buttons and joysticks, when I first started in this hobby I began buying boxes of used filthy buttons from local guys. I saw it as a huge cost saver at the time. However, after spending approximately 15hrs disassembling buttons and scrubbing them with isopropyl alcohol, I am quickly got burnt out. Definitely worth just buying the button too.
