I've had to turn down a lot of repair on u5000/K7500 monitors because I lack a board with which to test the monitors properly after repair.

What's an inexpensive medium res board? I don't care about the game, as long as it outputs a medium res signal, and is dirt cheap.

JAMMA is kinda important, only because I don't want to dick around with an adapter, if possible.

Namco 246...so, like...Tekken, and the like? Is that correct?

NFL Blitz is a good one for stuff like that. You can even get one with a hosed hard drive, so long as it will boot to diagnostics.

The irony is that I /had/ a Blitz 2000 Gold board/drive...and sold it. Phooey.

Of course, this was several years ago...

Tekken 4, soul calibur 2/3, those are namco 246. Tekken 5 is 256, which would be fine as well (but much pricier). I forget what the nameoc 246 boots to without a game. Ill have to check one.

Ill add in Midway sportstation, gauntlet legends / dl (but those are a bit pricier)

I tried to find a PCb that didn't require a hard drive, but it wasn't easy. So, I just went with a Blitz 99 that had a bad HD but still let me boot to diagnostics for color bars, test grid, etc. Switches between standard and medium res via a dip switch on the pcb.

But then I didn't like that I couldn't see an actual game image so I could get a better idea of color balances, so I got the CF to replace the HD and everythings been fine since...
