Just saw this deal:

With shipping they are $8.
lockpick.

I thought lockpick sets were illegal to own unless you're a licensed locksmith?

Check your state laws. I have a set here but I make sure to NEVER take them out of the house. If you get pulled over and the cop decides he doesn't like you and searches the car, hope he doesn't find them. You'll be busted for carrying "burglary tools" if he does.

It would be like driving around with a crowbar and a ski mask in your car. Not exactly illegal, but difficult to explain.

PayPal sent :)

Screw brute force... A little finesse is no mess :)

in il, at least it used to be this way, dont need a license as long as your in the business aka lockamoth, auto mechanic, etc.

The locks on these games are easy to pick if you know how, but you do still need to know how to pick a lock.

The funny thing is that if you know how to pick a lock, the locks that are on these games can be easily picked with a small pocket screwdriver and a paperclip, so you really don't need a pick kit.

Yeah, none of these kits are going to come with an instruction manual. Good place to start is the old MIT Lock Picking Guide. You can Google that, or just go to this site that has that content and more:

Seeing it done is very helpful. I downloaded a DVD guide long ago... maybe I still have it somewhere.

And yes, the locks on these games are usually the simplest type. While I'm sure a pro would have no trouble pulling it off with a paperclip, I'm not so sure I could. Having the right tools makes it much easier for the amateur like me.

Since most locks are keyed alike or at least similar, has anyone had success with making a bump key for opening stuff? I've been looking into it, but if I have to make 20 bump keys to fit the variations of lock, it's not worth it.

Man that thing is nasty, would do some real damage LOL. I just have 2 sets of wood nunchaks like the natural wood ones on the page. They hang right over my computer desk for the same home invader reason LOL. Also have a bunch of other cool stuff got an antique Ice hook that was quite rusty man it is one nasty looking thing.
