Wheres the cheapest place i can find a DMD display???

Pinball life has them pretty cheep, im looking for one under a 100...

If the machine is a piece of crap and you'll just get rid of it, get a used DMD (which you probably won't find). If it is a game you care in the least about, just buy a new one. You're going to pay $80+shipping for an unknown used DMD that has a limited (in most cases very limited)life span, or you can pay $130+ship for a brand spanking new DMD.

FYI, I have an ebay saved search for DMD's, and I never see used ones. The one or two I have seen sold for $80+, and were as-is condition.

i hear ya, if for my WCS 94, i have a op buddy sending me one for free....im going to see how this one looks.

i want a used one one the cheap, but i sure it wont happen

Let's put it this way:

I have a DMD I just pulled from my Lethal Weapon pin. It works... but there is a column that stays lit and on heavy action scenes the screen gets splotchy.
Personally I am keeping it around as a test unit if I ever come across a cheap pin with a presumed dead display.

If I were an unscrupulous individual (IE, an asshole) then I could put it on ebay. My description would be:
DMD display fully working. There is a column stuck on. I personally don't know much about these. My 'repair technician' tells me that my controller board has a chip that is bad. Odds are this one will work fine in your machine. Since it is used, I am selling it as-is.
Then I'd post pictures of it running carefully selected scenes to hide the splotch of a gassed DMD.

If I was a REALLY unscrupulous seller, I'd just say:
Used DMD. Works. As-is.

Believe it or not, the 2nd listing would generate probably $20 or more in final price due to optimistic buyers such as yourself hoping for a steal of a deal.

So like I said, don't buy used unless you pay next to nothing AND expect to get next to nothing.

If it's a Vishay... don't they fix these for much cheaper than buying replacements?
