Chattanooga pinball Rlevin going out of biz?

My twins have been sick and in and out of the hospital and with 8 kids in the house and a up and down business just been busy. Gordon if you want a EM and I cannot see why but come down and buy me lunch and I will put one aside for you. Oh bring a little cash for it.
Oh another EM hater. I'm going to get down there one of these days that's for sure. And I'll arm wrestle you for lunch.

EM pins? I like EMs with their simplicity and bells n shit, I am young compared to most pin collectors but my experiences with pins are 99% EM when I was a kid. You guys with the multi-thousand dollar DMDs and SS' can keep em...

If we're talking EM 'cades, I think they're pretty damn cool too!

Your reading my mind. You couldn't give me one of those newer pins Addams Family, Whitewater, Ect. Well let me rethink that. I'd take it for free only to sell it to buy an EM or early SS. I'd never give up a spot in the game room for One of those newer pins. If I could make a comparison an Em to me is like a vintage collector car (57 Chevy, 65 Mustang ,68 Camaro)and one of those newer dmd pins is like a Dodge Neon with a stupid spoiler and a stupid fat tail pipe that makes it sound like a weed eater. I guess it's just a different generation.

So you're saying if you don't have a warranty to 'worry' about, you won't take the time to fix things properly?
Interesting.

We do not offer a warranty per say but when a customer has a problem we fix it. It seems we only have problems when we ship games cross country. Monitors do not like the trip and seem to f up. I pay you guys for repairs. Several of you have done repairs for me and it has worked great. And has for EM's we just got done with a old ball bowler that is coold has hell.

Yep, I think DMD fiends are in it for nothing more than a pissing contest...like saying "I drive a BMW" just because they can. I won't say they aren't fun, but for the price...I'll take a half dozen EMs TYVM and have 6x the fun!

I want to jump in and put my wortless opinion in as well.

I will sell all my inventory at once as well, just like Dale. And the next week i can have my buildings full again, There are investors out there that will buy your entire business just as dale has his advertised. They dont get the person. If i sold my entire inventory, games, parts, test equipment. That would be great, i would take a little time off, then go out and buy more equiopment. Just because they buy my equipment, they dont have my leads and connections which is what makes the business

Now a few negative comments. Dale, you mentioned that if the lot sold, thats fine its half your inventory. Well, i can tell you this, if i ponied up the 400k as your auction states, i would be taking all your inventory. The way your add reads, its over *** pieces, so if its 800 pieces in your place, i would be expecting them all. So you may want to reword the way your listing is.

Also, someone mentioned looking at the completed auctions that he is selling stuff. I looked, and Dale, I am not trying to say anything about you, there may be an explanation. I have not ever done a deal with Dale, so i have no personalbias, good or bad towards him. If he has a product that i need for a price im willing to pay, i would surely give him a try. But i did see that he had a terminator 2 pin sell on the 8th, for ****, and then 2 days later, the same machine sell on the 10th for ****. Now in my opinion, one of two things could have happened. which is either he sells games using pictures that dont show the actual game (which i dont think and hope is not the case) or he is willing to pay a few bucks in final value fees to make it look like he sells more than he does. I dont understand how the same machine can be listed that close together. In two days you do not have enough time to file non-paying bidder and relist the game

Yea on the T2 the guy purchase it and then calls me the next day telling me he found one local. I do not waste time with filing a dispute I just cancel and relist. eBay has made it easy for people to not pay these days. I have 2 warehouses and the 600 game lot is in one warehouse and that is the one for sale

It's the Holiday Season, Dale has a family. Wishing him out of business this time of year is awfully mean spirited.

.

As I mentioned on the other thread, Oceania (Australia and surrounding countries) is not a bad place to unload a large lot of equipment because arcade games are fairly scarce there, the exchange rate is favorable to the buyer, and they speak English there - so people can understand the games.

Last summer a couple of guys from there came to several auctions and bought just about everything. But, they were paying a whole lot less than what he's looking for here. Those guys were getting working sit down driving games for $25; etc and I am sure they could have made money flipping them. They claimed to be opening an arcade near Sidney but I never heard what happened to them.

The economy is really hurting for frivolous stuff like arcade games. It's a great time to be buying but a lousy time to be selling. I guess that applies to a lot of things besides arcade games.

Are you not over that? If it sells for that why not?

Dale he's just mad you didn't sell it to him for $65...which would be too much anyway, since the whiners on this site have a $50 limit for any game they're BUYING, if they're selling then said limit ceases to exist!

P.S. If nobody noticed, I'm on a "Kiss my ass" roll tonight...so kiss my ass lol

Thats fine, and understandable on the T2, i would just take the minute when you relist it to say something like that. I have relisted game for the same reason, and usually put in a sentence like.

"relisted due to deadbeat bidder (enter ebay id)"

"relisted due to buyer getting a different machine"

I always look at the sellers past auctions to get a feel of the seller. So little things like this could change a persons mind. If i see something that looks a little odd like i pointed out in the auction, I would not bid on the item. But after your short explanation here, i would bid idf i was interested.

As for the the current auction of all the machines, once again, i think that you should take a few minutes and revise it to say that this is for one of the warehouses that you have, just to make it clear, because if i spent that money, believe me, if i didnt get everything, i would be in court to get the rest. Im not one to sue anyone, i never have and hop to never need to, but business is business and i would want all that i thought that i was going to get, or my money to be returned along with a little extra for my "potential loss revenue"

Whoa whoa whoa whoa... .... whoa...

Which warehouse has my Satan's Hollow in it? Better be keeping that warehouse, Dale!

I'm coming for that thing one of these days!

I have said it before and I will say it again, he can ask what he wants and good for him if he gets it. My issue is the "klov brotherhood" deal crap. His idea of a "deal" for me was an untested, no board jamma fighter cab(rude dudes IIRC) for "around $200".

As a business I hope he does great and makes lots of money, he just needs to quit acting like he is here to help us.
