I have been trying to figure out what chassis my monitor has. I believe it to be a WG K7000 series. After looking through pics at bob roberts site it is the closest match.

I was going to order a cap kit for it and noticed that there are several different models in K7000 series.

How do I know which one my monitor is? Is there a marking anywhere for me to look for? I have included a few pics maybe someone here can let me know.

Thank you.

Looks like the Kortek/Sharp Image clone of a K7000. It uses the standard K7000 capkit. Zanen Electronics capkit # 204A.

Phone 1-888-44-Zanen to order it.

Thanks for all of the help. I got the chassis out today and took some better pics of front and back. Looks a bit rough. Now I need to find someone to rebuild it for me, as I don't think I am up for it.

ken did those chassis use the same flyback as the K7000.
and did they use the same yokes well.

if they did i could rebuild it for you.

i know i can cap it, and can test it if it uses the same yoke and is a cr23 pin out.

Can you please PM me an rough estimate of costs and time frames involved with repair. The monitor had a vertical collapse when I got it and who knows what else. It arced a couple of times and smoked. None of which seemed good.

i can only repair it if it is completely compatible with a K7000.

otherwise i cannot as i do not have a tube and yoke to use.

i need to know that info first.

let's hope ken will chime in when he is online

I've never encountered one of these models before. I would assume the yoke and flyback are the same as a regular k7000.

I couldn't really tell by the pictures, but I have 2 of these Kortek K7000 clones and they are both 25". This is different. Also, remove the plastic protector on the back of the neckboard. It may give you some additional information. That's where mine actually have the Kortek written on it. There is some blue print next to the header for the remote board. Anything useful there?

it looks so close to a K7000 it probably is a part for part clone.

can you measure the yoke to see what it's pairs are.

if it is close enough i would bet it is.

also can you see any #'s on the flyback it looks exactly like a K7000 original flyback.

if the yoke is close i would like to take a stab at it as long as the flyback is good or the same as a K7000 as well.

it is laid out almost exactly like a K7000 so i can't imagine it being much different.

what part smoked do you know?

and what are the tube #'s so we can look them up and see what type of tube it is.

Thanks for the tip. On the Neck board it reads "K1-2-VO" and "Sharp Image Electronics". Upon further inspection of the main board it reads "SI-320Z Sharp Image Electronics" and also "K1-2-VO". Does this help anyone? In my research it seems this is a Kortek/Sharp clone of K7000. Does anyone know where i can get a schematic for this so I can start testing to try and find the problems?

my bet is that if you compare the resisters and other parts to the K7000 manual they are probably the same.
