So I have been working on what is for one of my grails from my early years...I have purchased 3 boards and finally found a combo that at least produces picture.
Problems.
1. There are graphic errors only on certain parts of the game...major parts of the game...see below, What roms and where are they located that may be the problem.

2. No loud sound, when I turn on the board, if I put my ear up to the speaker I can faintly hear a sound and then when I use the volume control on the board, I can turn it down but that is as loud as it goes. Chase hq without sound is not chase hq

3. Credit and start buttons have no reaction, I followed the wires and this can be figured out later,

Please let me know if you might have a good idea of what may be the problem,Thank you Tron guy, THANK YOU ALL

Picture 1 - good graphics
picture 2 - rom check all ok
picture 3 - graphic errors
picture 4 - top board
picture 5 - bottom board

Double check your .5v first. I know that it isnt very picky with how much it gets, but its a start. Have you tried to clean all the rams and roms? The board looks clean, but it seems like one or the other isnt making good contact in the socket. Theres about 40 of them so anyone of them could be the issue.

hope this helps

Picture is all good

Last night after work, I re-sat every rom, turned on the board and the picture was perfect. Now I need to work on the sound and the controls responding.
Thanks

Did you try to adjust the volume pot on the back of the coin mechs? There should be 2 pots and a intermittent switch to coin the game up. Good to here the graphic issues are now gone.

Sweeet!

I feel like an idiot and a hero at the same time, that was problem with the volume (I have never seen volume controls by the coin-mech) Also I followed the ground and foun that it was in the wrong slot...it all works now...thanks for the advice and help

Dang, MrSinister is swinging low and hard...

It's good that some incredibly easy repairs actually brought it completely back to life. That doesn't happen nearly often enough. :)
