Chart to help choose the right Neo Geo Multi Cart

Looks like six of the 11 new games are hack versions. Out of curiosity, why are they wasting so many slots on those things and not on a complete library of the normal versions?

Agreed. I still really need to get one of these babies! Gotta get my Mark of the Wolves on!

Because if they just put all of the games on one cart they wouldn't be able to sell you a new one next year!

How are these carts built exactly? There must be a way to reprogram them with whatever games you want.

Hey, I'm bumping this from the dead, is there an updated cart coming? Is the current 161 in 1 the best for a 4 slot? Have all the problems with the cart been worked out?

I guess I could update my lists, I lost interest since I already selected my cart.

LOL, yeah, that is what usually happens with these types of things...

It would be great if you did, but I'm also curious if there is something newer than the 161 coming? After all, there is still not Metal Slug 5 game...

And no way to hide all those stupid hacks from the game select screen. You think by now someone would be able to sell a cart that lets you add your own game choices or something.

The 138-in-1 lets you edit the menu to remove games from the list. (You can add them back if you like.)

I seriously doubt you'll see a Neo Geo multi that is reprogrammable. The minute one of those gets released these Chinese suppliers will never be able to keep selling us new multis every year.

Yeah, the problem is I have a 4 slot so I think the 138 is out for me...

As for releasing new ones every year, that's fine, but wasn't the 161 in 1 the last one? It's been awhile, is there a new one coming?

Funny this thread was bumped. I just asked Tighe this question yesterday. I'll be picking up the 161-1 and just deal with the crappy hacks.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, but the damn thing is still missing some key games, like Metal Slug 5 or Shock Troopers!!!

Where is the 191 in 1 already! (note, I have no information on any new cart coming out)

Tighe, check this out, I guess you may not need to do an update:

Below is a comparison chart of MVS Multicarts that are available from China. The list was originally compiled by Tighe Lory and has been added to since with new cartridges as they've come out. As with his original chart, this chart combines clones and hacks into their parent game rather than listing them separately.

LOL, at least I got credit for the list. :D
