changing from 10 cent to 25 cent machine ?

Last one and I can let this go ...

OK, I am the type of guy people hate ....

I really do try to keep things original as possible (really don't know what I was thinking when I was asking about changing to 25 cents ... just wanted it like I remembered as a kid).

Anyway, I can use the plastic unit for now ... will get me up and running.

I do want to get a "real" 10 cent coin mechanism .......

Other then ebay ... my "go to" place ... where can I search for one?

I did a quick google search .... nothing.

Is there one of you guys who has a stash of parts that has one of these for sale?

Is there a company who has there?

I know it won't be e"cheap" but I plan on keeping this machine.

Thanks again so much for all your help and advice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike

It is on it's way ....

Long story ....

Again, always wanted this machine ....

Found one a few times but we have been living in an RV while we built a house. My wife is paralyzed from the shoulders down from a diving accident when she was 12. The only way we could afford a custom accessible house was to build it ourselves. We even lived for three years in an RV so we didn't have to pay rent.

I saw a few of these come up but no room in an RV an arcade game.

So we moved into the house .... not finished but warm (winters in VT hit -30).

I just turned 56 and my wife said I deserve a "toy" ... we usually don't buy gifts for Christmas or Birthdays ... put the money toward the house.

I was playing one night ... did a craigslist search .... Sea Raider .... not working ... $500 and 500 miles away .... hmmmm.

Checked ebay ..... $2K ....ouch

Just happen to search Kijiji a few weeks later (usually don't since it is in Canada) nice machine, completely gone through .... $1500 CND ... then a week later $1250. I was thinking if I could get it fore $1K CND that would be about $750 USD. Then I check freight costs (since it was 500 miles away) .... $600 !!!!!!!!!!!!

A week later ... $1K for two machines (had to buy both ...Sea Raider & Shooting game). They sent me a video ... games were rough.

Then this one came up .... re-painted (for a great touch up), great glass, everything working, LED's ..... started at $900 .... then $800 ...now $700.

This is a small fortune to me (heck, I only paid $1k for the truck I drive each day) but this is something I will hold onto for the rest of my life.

We talked ... he sent videos .... I was going to go pick it up (4 hour trip each way) but he arranged shipping for $200 (my RV would have burned close that that in gas).

My only problem was this coin mechanism (or at least I hope this is the only problem).

Anyway .... a lot of playing but the machine I have wanted for about 45 years is on it's way!

Truly, it anyone knows were to find a 10 cent mechanism, please let me know.

Thanks again .... Mike

I would recommend waiting until you get the machine and play it for a bit and then decide if you want to keep it .10 or convert to .25

I think after having it and playing it, you will decide to just forgo it and figure out a free play solution such as the easy coin up or something.

If you want it running off coins, just do the .25 conversion, you just need the coin mech and the coin slot, both very cheap. Heck, I'd send you a spare .25 mech, and I probably have a .25 coin slot floating around here someplace.
