There is a seperate thread on a convertor but I need help deciding how to change my ninentendo cabinet to accept jamma harness.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some one gave me a free arcade cabinet which they thought was a jamma cab. However the edge connector was screwed in the side and was not enough space for my neo geo MVS to Jamma board. I have a couple of MVS carts. I bought a Jamma extension cable to give me more room but it does not fit in the arcade machines edge connetor as it is much larger. I also have a new Jamma harness which when I compared against the one in the cab it is a lot longer. My cabinet has a edge connector but is only 22 pins instead of 28 in the jamma harness . Looking on the net I assume the arcade machinine I have been given is a ninento VS. The guy who gave it me says he thinks he used ot play donkey kong in it. I have no ninetendo games to test in it. I really want to get Jamma carts working in this cab. I cannot seem to find a convertor to change the 22 pin into a 28 pin connector apart from one place in Australia and postage is horrific. Hoewver If I find the wiriring diagrams can I simply strip out the 22 edge connector completely and rewire the whole system with a jamma harness. Or can I simply take the wires out the 22 pin and plug into the 28 pin edge connector Or if it is a nintendo cabinet will I get problems playing jamma games on the nintendo monitor? I got the cab for free but have spent about 60 on harness , cable , neo geo and 2 games so far that I cannot use. I can find lots of parts to change nintendo games to jamma, But I want to change a nintedo cabinet to Jamma. I want to enjoy Jamma ! If not I'll rip the lot out and put my Xbox mame machine in instead !

No problem will do in the morning/ Will take pics of the connector and the back where monitor is . I cant tell if a nintendo cab or if somthing else. somone has suggested may be a 22pin pre jamma on the other thread. Cheers

Attached show inside cab and the different dge connector sizes. The top is the connector in the cabinet and the bottom is a jamma harness cheers. Found sicker on where mitor components are as well if this helps .

Was just gonna say that...... NOT JAMMA and NOT Nintendo either.
Very clean and original looking though, would be nice to know what it is/was.
Grab a pic of the cabinet out of curiosity.
