i want to change the high scores in pinbot. On the game adjust menus I scroll down to AD 14 which is backup high score 1 of 3,000,000. In the pinbot manual it says to press the credit button to change this score. When I press it nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

are you looking to reset them, or to set default high scores.

I can go down and figure it out on mine, but you should really just start mashing the buttons to see how it works. Dont forget the start button.

I am about to remote battery the thing this weekend so I do not care about the high scores and can test anything you want.

They mean the start button. Push the start button to change it...

I want to lower the high scores because we stink at pinbot but want our scores to show up!

When I press the start button, nothing happens. I scrolled down to the other scores, and none of them would respond to the start button.

Is there some option I need to turn on to allow changes to the default settings?

Went down and checked.

Get to AD 14 and press the start button. The one you would press to start a game is the coin door was closed. each press will advance it by so many points. If you want it to go down press the red button down inside of the coin door.

Yes that is what I tried but the score does not change at all. What could be causing it to not respond?

MEMPROT problem

The guy that perfectly fixed my damaged CPU board (edward cheung) due to leaked battery acid has I think figured out the problem. My Pinbot does not have the switch on the front coin door near the hinge, so the cpu does not register that the door is opened. So there is this Memory Protect feature to prevent hacking by people cutting a hole in the bottom of the machine to get to the game adjust buttons so none of the game adjust features will work. So he said I would need to get one of these switches and that the wire connects to the IJ16 on the CPU board. Does anyone have experience with this situation? Is there a way to disable the Memory Protect feature?
