Bitd I was quite good at the game. I could give anyone in our local arcade a run for their money. However lately after I went over to a buddies place and worked on some games and had a few bud lights I have came to the conclusion that I am much better at the game half crocked. Anyone else wanna chime in with an interesting Championship Sprint memory/story?

My favorite game to play as a kid. I cried on the inside when it was replaced by a turbo.

Super Sprint and Champ Sprint are two of my favorite drivers. I prefer them over Badlands/ Super Offroad because the layouts are clear, easy to navigate, and so on and so on. I'd like to own a champ sprint one day, so if I get a little bored, I can switch it to one of my other favorites, Paperboy.

Having a few beers helps, because you don't feel douchey for flinging the wheel.

Late 80s, I spent a very hot summer week at a hotel on Cape Cod. They had a small arcade room, which was this sad little space with a few worn-out games. I never saw anyone in it but me. The only noises coming out of that room were the attract sounds on a Super Basketball (which I played the hell out of, and still love) and a Playchoice 10 with Pro Wrestling and Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!.

But they also had a Super Sprint there, and I remember how much I liked the music and the sounds, especially the haunting "game over" fade out. I snuck down there late when it got cooler, and the only noise in the whole place - which had plenty of vacancies - was me playing.

I always feel strange telling younger kids that in order to win you have to fling the wheel lol. I am great at it and one day hope to post a video of my bud light drinkin self playing!

That game is a workout! I play it freezing cold in the winter in boxers and slippers only for some fun exercise. It's fun how long you can keep shaving seconds off your times. I think I read someone getting 12,000 on one quarter. Against the drones that impresses me plenty, those bitches are fast. I get smoked at around 6,000 I think. I hate getting your middle finger whacked by the wheel.

When the game first came out, my brother and I would play it and he would always win. A couple of years back, I came across one and picked it up. I bought it with the plan that I would practice on it and finally beat him at. A couple of months go by and I had been playing it non stop and had gotten pretty good at it. The day I was waiting for finally came, my brother was at my place, he notices the Champion Sprint game and challenges me to a race. He promptly beats me on it and doubles my high score. All the while saying this is great I haven't seen one of these in years. The game is now at his place along with the Super Sprint I had found a few weeks later.

Lol. That's pretty funny. Sounds like my brother and me, only with Karate Champ. Championship Sprint is one of my wife's favorites; she's pretty good at it too. Still looking for one in my area. The last couple that came up on CL were gone before I even saw the ads.

Well I love to play the game and remember the first time I ever played was in our local fred meyer before it was removed and replaced by a crappy sticker machine :-(. I will practice up and once again kick butt after a few bud lights and win a few races.

I had Super Sprint for a while, and sold it mostly because of the awkward size. It is the only game that i have sold that I miss playing. I think I will replace it with a Champ Sprint one of these days.

There is nothing douchey about flinging the wheel. :)

It was probably the first arcade driving game I ever played. I have good memories playing with my older brother and not getting very far. I also remember playing Super Sprint, Badlands and Super Off Road.

It was the one driving game that I felt would be great to have in my game room. Unfortunately, I've chosen to sell my CS that I just picked up for personal reasons, but it looks like it will be going to a good home.

Dude, you just got that game not to long ago? That stinks!:(

I really need to see more people play this game. I have only started playing it within the past few weeks. My favorite part on SSprint is when you wreck and the chopper comes out. I enjoy it because the first time my 2 yr old saw the chopper he said "DA-DA!! PANE!!" I say that all the time now when the chopper shows up. :D
