Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I have a Gauntlet and it seems like everytime I start a new game the LCD monitor colors go to pink & white. No other color. I have the CGA to VGA converter board and whenever it does that, I press the input selection switch 3 times to get back to CGA and then the colors are perfect until I start another level. Gauntlet issue or monitor / converter board issue? I also have a Cruis'n that has the same setup. This time, I cannot get the monitor colors to look even halfway decent. I didn't even put the LCDs in these games but they do look nice when working properly (*hides* lol). Does anyone have experience with these boards and adjusting the colors? Thanks.

I have this board: http://ezweb.hollandcomputers.com/d...parts/gbs-8220_cga_to_vga_hd-converter r3.pdf

Do a search for the clamp settings... I'm using one on my Top Skater, and would get a washed out screen, and setting the clamp settings fixed it. I think it's pretty common.

I've been through this so I'll save you time.

Set your Clamp St to 3 and Clamp Sp to 4 (in the converter menu) and that should take care of your problem.

Still having the same issues. Adjusted every setting in the converter menu, tried different resolutions, adjusted the color pots on the converter board, adjusting the monitor menu, nothing gets it a good picture. Any ideas?

Cruis'n is medium resolution and is plugged into the correct place so they can't be the issue either. Gauntlet makes no sense at all lol.

This converter was re-released with updated firmware to make it more compatible with the games that weren't running at 60hz. The MKs for example. With the old converter, you'd just get a frozen/half screen. With the new converters with the new firmware update, the MKs run fine.

How old is your converter? You might simply need to get the new one with the firmware update.

My extra board says August 16, 2011 on the board. Im guessing that's the out-dated version lol.
